Colorful Landscape with Tree at Sunset

Vibrant Tree XIII
6"x6", Acrylic on stretched canvas

Put a tree silhouette against a warm sunset, and all the colors get warmer. :)
Especially when I paint around Valentine's day, thinking thoughts of love.

Vibrant Tree XII - Daily Painting of Colorful Trees

"Vibrant Tree XII"
6"x6", Acrylic on Stretched Canvas

I painted this tree on a 6"x6" stretched canvas that was toned with a nice bright orange. You can still see the orange peaking through here and there.
I kept it bright by using a lot of magenta and brilliant blue. I like the result, it makes me think of a happy place.

Sides are painted dark so it's ready to hang or sit on a shelf.

Lots of states are covered in snow today!  Stay warm and safe everyone.

Tree at Sunset - Daily Painting

Vibrant Tree XI
6"x6" Acrylic on Canvas

Today I made this vibrant tree while listening to my favorite Italian singer, in front of a nice window facing my totally white, snow-covered backyard. It felt good painting this warm sunset in such a chilling day. :)

By the way, I love my smart TV, I launched YouTume, searched Jovanotti (my fav singer) and automatically all his best video played, one after the other. I didn't watch because I was focusing on my canvas, but it was so entertaining, and  nice change from my IPod selection.

A big smile (warm) from me to you!

Vibrant Maple Tree - Small Landscape, Acrylic on Canvas

Vibrant Tree III
6" x 6" Acrylic on Canvas

I have a photo of "my favorite tree", and it's a maple tree from the Portland Japanese garden. I love that tree, and I've painted it in several ways. When he saw me painting trees "vibrantly" he got all excited "Is it my turn yet?".
And here it is, a colorful and "brushstrocky" rendition of my favorite tree.

Sides are 1" deep and painted dark, ready to hang on a wall or sit on a shelf. :)

Another Vibrant Tree Painting

"Vibrant Tree II"
6" x 6" Acrylic on Canvas

This is a fun tree, painted with brush-and-leave-me-alone strokes, and much fun on my side. Experimenting on making the paint mix on the canvas without pre-mixing, and making each brushstroke count.

Painted on a 6"x6" wrapped canvas, sides are 1" deep and are painted dark, ready to hang without framing, or sit on a shelf.
