I Loved Serving as Judge at the Annual Congressional Art Competition for High School Students

Judging a Student Art Competition Not an easy Task So Much Talent!!! I've got the great honor to be invited to serve as a judge for Artistic Discovery , the annual Congressional Art Competition . Students grade 9 -12 entered some incredible artwork, and the choice of the winning pieces was not easy. I got to share the decision making process with other two very talented judges: Frank Hobbs and George Whitten. The entries included photography, digital painting, collage, drawing, oil painting, acrylic painting, and ceramic.  The level of talent was amazing.  In the judging team with me: Frank Hobbs (left) and George Whitten (right) This is me on my way to Congressman Tiberi's office, for the judging. Hi There Luna! - Portrait of a Happy Dog

Hello, this is Luna, the very energetic dog of my family in Italy. You never know what she's up to, it's always fun and adventure with her. I saw a cute picture of Luna on my niece's facebook wall and decided to give it a try. I wanted to make it colorful, so I started with a bright magenta ground color and made sure I let it show through till the end. I like the results. I want to paint more doggie pictures now!

Exhibiting four of my acrylic paintings at a local businesses: Starbucks Having businesses willing to showcase local artists in their premises is a true blessing. I am lucky to be part of two organizations that coordinate art exhibits in local businesses: the Worthington Area Art League and the Dublin Area Art League, of which I'm the current president. Exhibiting four of my acrylic paintings at a local businesses: Starbucks in Dublin, OH Am member of the art league you can sign up for exhibits, one or two months at the time, depending on the location. In March 2016 I have four of my paintings showcased at a local Starbucks. The have a hanging system installed and the light is just phenomenal, it makes the paintings glow. They business takes some kind of a risk opening up their walls to artists, because they have no say on who signs up and if the paintings are going to look good with their decor, but they are oh so nice all the time! Something to be very thankful
